The "Ese Tipo No" campaign aims to: empower women, adolescents and girls; transform stereotypes; promote fairer, more egalitarian societies, free of prejudices; and promote an active role for men in the prevention of gender-based violence.

For the construction of the campaign, the members of the national reference group of the Spotlight Initiative, made up of leaders and activists committed to women's rights, participated. In addition to the support of United Nations agencies, the European Union, public entities and international organizations. The campaign will be disseminated through traditional, non-traditional media and the official social networks of Spotlight, UN agencies and the European Union in Ecuador.

About the Spotlight Initiative The Spotlight Initiative is a global effort between the European Union (EU) and the United Nations (UN) aimed at eliminating all forms of violence against women and girls and femicide. In Ecuador, the Initiative develops six pillars of action: institutional strengthening, the development of policies, models and protocols, the prevention and promotion of the change of cultural patterns; information management; as well as the strengthening of women's movements and civil society in general. It is implemented in six cantons: Cuenca, Azogues, Portoviejo, Chone, Pastaza and Morona.
